Thanksgiving/Black Friday/SBS has reliably been my highest-income week at JHA every year, as I always offer specials and packages... In Nov 2020, I am collecting unemployment insurance and sitting in an orange zone; it wouldn’t be appropriate to market or sell massage hours in this pandemic shutdown moment. When we’re back, whenever that may be, I will have the most happy and delightful sale! I miss my work so much. In the meantime, there are plenty of retail, restaurant, a...nd other small businesses that are operating as normally as they can and really need your support! Gift certificates, take-out, online ordering and shipping, and curbside pickup will help keep you safe and distanced while you shop. Today is my 10 year LMTversary...can you imagine?! No one could have anticipated the twists and turns of the past decade...especially true of 2020...but I wouldn’t trade these wisdom-earning years for anything. I am so grateful to my 34-year-old self for taking such a giant leap of courage and faith. I am still learning leaping! I love and miss my practice and all of you, and warmly anticipate the day when I can safely welcome you back into my home and onto my table. ... Until then, Tiger Lily and I are cleaning, painting, waiting, holding space. Learning, always, to trust the process and the path, even (and maybe especially) when we can’t see very far ahead. I hold you in my thoughts and send wishes for protection and wellness and healthy embodiment. TL sends wishes for scratchies and snugs and a happy safe place to nap. May we all emerge from this time of trauma more aware, more compassionate, more grounded, and more connected than before. Hello my lovelies! Well, today’s the day that Massage Therapy is reopened in NYS. However, it is not the day I feel safe reopening JHA! I hope to hang in there until the restrictions are not so tight and the requirements are not so scary. Until it can be a calm and healing atmosphere and we can feel (relatively) comfortable in each other’s company. Until you won’t have to wear a mask on the table and I won’t have to wear a face shield! Keep an eye on this space for updates as things change... I hope you’ve all been healthy and well and look so forward to better days. Miss you!
