Please enjoy this video of Santa’s recent visit to JVAH! Many thanks to Santa, his elves and to all of our well-behaved four-legged kids (and their two-legged guardians) for imparting some sense of normalcy in a rather abnormal year! We are thankful for all of our clients who have supported us with grace, patience and kindness as we’ve navigated through this crazy year that will be soon ending and we look forward to providing the best care possible in the next year, no matter what it brings! A great big Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our Juniper families

As in years past, Santa was once again able to fit us into his busy schedule to take some greats pics with our four legged kids this past weekend. A great big thanks to Santa and his squad of elf assistants for making this very prolonged visit(10 hours over 2 days) happen. This year was more challenging than other years but these dedicated North Pole visitors made it work amazingly smooth #ourteamrocks #bestvetteam #vetslife

It’s that time of yearPictures with Santa at JVAH! Bring by your furry family members to have their pictures taken with Santa and his merry elves on Saturday, December 12th and Sunday, December 13th at JVAH. However, like everything else this year, we have to figure this out as we go. So in order to keep everyone safe, pictures with Santa will be by appointment only, and only those four legged family members will be allowed into the building. There will be 24 appointments av...ailable each day, starting at 3pm until 7pm. To request your appointment (and please use only this method): E-mail our practice manager Monica at [email protected] with the day you would like to come in, and she will fill in the schedule on a first-come, first-served basis. If both days work for you, please let her know. She will try to give you a particular time if you request it (appointments will be every 10 minutes), however, if it is not available she will give you the closest available spot on the date you requested. We will keep a waiting list once the appointments have filled. Santa and his elves can’t wait to see all his furry little friends again this year!

This year, at JVAH we have so much to be thankful for. We are incredibly grateful to our team, all of whom have done their utmost to make sure that we continue to provide the highest level of care while meeting the ever increasing demands imposed by the COVID crisis. And they do it with professionalism and good humor. We are thankful for those wonderful pet guardians who entrust us with their four legged family members care and for the kindness and patience shown by many as we continue to navigate through this seemingly never ending crisis. So we wish you all a very happy, peaceful and safe Thanksgiving!

Pretty much every year we see an increase in food-related illness around Thanksgiving time. And while this year there may be less guests, there will still no doubt be lots of food. Someone has got to eat it - but please be very careful in what you choose to give to your four legged companions. There are a number of things that they should not have, some of which may not be so obvious. Make sure to keep these away from your pets to ensure they remain healthy this Thanksgiving and through the other holidays ahead. So here’s what you need know to keep them safe this Holiday Season (and while geared towards our pups, kitties should avoid these foods as well)

This year has been challenging to say the least. So this week(October 11-17), which is National Veterinary Technicians Week, we really need to reflect on our amazing veterinary technicians that have gone above and beyond to ensure that we continue to provide the compassionate high quality care our patients deserve. A great big thanks to our amazing veterinary technicians Jenny, Melissa, Natalie, Danny, Adriana, and CC as well as our fabulous veterinary assistants Veronica, Karina, Dana, Lauren, and Jimmy More information about veterinary technicians and this special week can be found at www.navta.net.

Just a quick reminder that in our area of the City, fleas become much more active in the Fall. In the last 2 weeks, we have a seen a larger than usual number of our doggie and kitty patients that have very active live fleas. Not all of these guys and girls are itchy, with many here for other issues and we are finding the fleas Please make sure to continue to use your choice of flea control for the next few months so that your four legged family members are protected through at least the end of November
