Standing with our Asian American community members: We are heartbroken at this week’s murderous attack in Atlanta and the horrifying rise in violence against Asian-Americans this past year. Our hurt, fear, and concern is for Asian and Asian-American members of our Synagogue community, all of New York City, and the entire country. We will be including special prayers and thoughts for Asian-Americans in our services this Shabbat. Please consider reaching out to Asian-American c...olleagues and friends and supporting the work or organizations combating this hate, like the NYC chapter of the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum, Red Canary Song, CAAAV, Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta, or Stop AAPI Hate. As we head toward Passover, may we be reminded that until we are all free from the oppression of hate, violence, and white supremacy -- Jews, Blacks, Asian-Americans, and others -- the hope of freedom remains unfulfilled.
