We gained some new followers this week, but many don't know our story. If you'd like to learn what we're about, this is for you! A little background: Since this... video was made in 2017, our herd has grown to 148 with two more currently in quarantine. They live a re-wilded life on 10,000 (and growing!) acres. We take in the 'worst of the worst' as they're commonly thought of. Our herd is made mostly of seniors and three-strikers (most spent several years in long-term holding pens), those deemed too dangerous to work with, those with defects, and others who have deemed unfit for a traditional home setting. We love them to bits!! We don't adopt out our thin our herd. Once a mustang or burro joins us, they're with us until the end. Our placements are forever. We're a proud project of the Serengeti Foundation and their second wild horse sanctuary in Colorado! In total, 195 wild ones have been saved! We're working to fence the 7000 more acres so that we can continue to place mustangs in need. We've reached our capacity with our existing setup, but we have the land to help more!
