Some great news in these uncertain times: on January 13, 2021, lifelong Rockland resident Charlotte Swift, who grew up in Pearl River, celebrated her 100th birt...hday. Ms. Swift has lived all 100 years in the Town of Orangetown. I along with Legislators Vince Tyer and Jim Foley co-sponsored a resolution declaring January 13, 2021 as Charlotte P. Swift Day in Rockland County. A copy of the resolution is below which highlights some of the events from her tremendous life. To help celebrate Ms. Swift’s 100th birthday, there will be a drive-by event tomorrow, Sunday January 17 at 1:15pm. Folks wishing to participate are asked to be in the area of St. Aedan’s Church in Pearl River around 1:00pm (Reld Drive) to proceed by her house at 30 Cara Drive, Nanuet. Ms. Swift will be sitting under a blue canopy out front.
