Andrographis for the win!!! This amazing plant has also shown to support treatment of HIV, reduce symptoms of the flu, and it's an ally for treating lyme disease and tick bites. It's also bitter as hell. Worst thing I've ever tasted. If you are going to use it for anything it's reccomend to get powder and make capsules. It can be taken long term without harmful side effects.

Mothering is real work and should be supported financially by society.

I haven't made New Year's resolutions in a long time. I do use this point in the turning of the wheel for refection and to settle in and trust the learning that I have received this past year. My intentions, however, remain the same. My life and practice is structured around being in service to women. I love women. If you look around we are seeing a return of the divine feminine. Women are rising and creating themselves, casting aside shame and obligation to a dying paradigm.... AND. IT'S. GLORIOUS. At the heart of my work is the belief that women (and all people, but I mainly work with women) need each other. This past year has shown me that in big ways. Women need to live daily life together. So much happens in the conversation when we cook meals together, or work the land, or sit around a fire, and tend to children. In these spaces we tease out what and who needs care in our communities, and are able to come together to apply the proper medicine using our collective skills. Our current way of life of separation and isolation is in direct opposition to our physiology. We are physiologically designed to rely on each other for the little moments of every day, and the huge transitions of life, for nourishment and ceremony. To be fed and witnessed. Community is the cure to the rampant mental, physical, and emotional afflictions we are facing. My teacher Rachelle Garcia-Seliga phrases it as "when physiology is disrupted we see disease." It's time folx, to honor our physiology and return each other. It's time to re-source, re-store, and re-village. How this looks will take on as many shapes and flavors as there are people. I don't know yet how this will unfold for my family and me, but unfold IT IS. I know that this means adventure for sure!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all! May you be blessed as each day we return to each other more and more. So much love!!!

This is funny at first. We do need to find humor in our lives, but most of this list simply should not be. Exhaustion, no mention of nurturing the parent, and not knowing what is normal is common, but it's not normal. This list illustrates survival. I would like to see us work toward thriving. We need each other. New parents need to be elevated, nurtured, and supported. Develop community before having a baby if you can.
