Finally got around to replacing the lamps in the Nagra IV-S. These little bulbs came right from Switzerland. Getting em back in was surprisingly challenging! Probably only because it was the first time doing it. The two preamps in this machine are stellar. I’ve been carrying this thing around since my Providence days. I found the Nagra in a junk shop. The guy told me it was an ex cia employees’. Yeah right. Probably some junkie ripped off a RISD student and pawned it. Either way I could tell this was special.
