Recreational Tip You can’t touch the net when you block, so it’s very important stay right up to the net and ONLY move side to side. This will prevent you from jumping from 3-5 ft off the net and landing under or touching the net. Intermediate Tip An effective blocker reaches into his/her opponents space (pressing or penetrating) instead of reaching as high as possible. This will create more opportunities for good touches and will lessen tools off your block.... Advanced Tip Let’s talk about eye progression. Remember: ball-setter-ball-hitter. Watch the ball as it’s being passed. Then, look at the setter for any visual cues that will tell you where he/she is going. Next, see where the ball is traveling (is it inside? Low? Tight?). Third, look at the hitter. Any clues to tell you where he/she is going to hit the ball? Lastly, celebrate the sweet house party you just hosted!! #kavclinic #kav #kavvball #sandvolleyball #kavevents

KV Clinic: Team Strategy 1 Recreational Tip: Whether or not you’ve just started playing, get into the habit of using 3 hits per side (pass-set-attack). In the beginning, you’ll likely be frustrated with yourself or teammates, but it’s the ONLY way you’ll be able to improve. Invest your time in using this strategy, and volleyball becomes a lot more engaging and fun!... Intermediate Tip: Three hits a side, definitely. Now might be a worthwhile time to specialize your players if you haven’t already. There is someone on your team that’s the best at setting, and (hopefully) you have a couple studs who can hit the ball. Capitalize on your teammates’ best qualities. Advanced Tip: Consider having an all-time setter. You can have that player set all the way around your rotations. #kavclinic #sandvolleyball
