Kayuta Lake Improvement Association 19.05.2021

Kayuta Lakers! We are again looking for a generous resident of the lake that is willing to be a host location for a Oneida county sherrif patrol boat. Having a boat that is already on the water will allow for quicker response times in the event of an incident. If you are able to be a host location please send us a private message.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office will hold an in-person Boater Safety Course at the Forestport Town Hall, NYS RT 28 on May 8, 2021 from 9 AM to 5 PM. Call (315) 765-2222 to register. All current COVID 19 precautions will be taken and all persons attending must wear a mask. A Safety Certificate will be required for all persons who operate any motorized boat starting 1/1/25.... This certificate had been required for all persons who operate any PWC for many years. This requirement now expands to all motorized boats and is phased in over the next few years. The Route 28 bridge over Forestport Pond as well as the Route 28 bridge over Woodhull Road will be closed for construction beginning April 1, 2021 and reopen no... later than June 25, 2021. The official DOT detour is Route 12 North to Woodgate Drive (County Route 74), rejoining Route 28 in Woodgate. Anyone with questions may contact the DOT Field Office located at the Forestport Town Hall, 10275 Route 28. See more

From Kayuta lake poker paddle page: We were so happy to have some normalcy this year during the pandemic with our 4th Annual Poker Paddle! 113 paddlers on the water what a great turnout and great weather we had this year. Thank you to all that made it out and were patient with us with our virtual paddle. 1st place DAWN EVANS - Four of a Kind (Qs), K High... 2nd place AUDREY JOHNSON - Full House, Ks full of 10s 3rd CURT DEWEY - Full House, Js full of 9s Paddlers: Please vote for your favorite stop until midnight tonight at www.Kayutaevents.com A special thank you to Aqua Valley Springs in Edmenston for donating custom bottled water, enough to have for paddlers at each stop Thank you to Awesome Country in Boonville for providing 10% off vouchers, even though we were not able to provide lunches this year due to the pandemic they still offered to help out. (Go check out their craft fair today!) And a most special thank you to the individuals that manned offered they locations up and manned the the stops all day. If you signed up after our t-shirt cut off date, we will have a shirt for you very shortly after we process the last order. We will begin the planning for next year and will keep this event going!
