I feel blessed to have gotten my first Covid vaccine shot last night. The facility was well-organized; the lines moved like clockwork. The only reaction I've had is a headache and a sore arm.

We remain UNABLE TO ACCEPT DONATIONS OF EQUIPMENT at this time. ---Please help us! --- Due to the needs of properly cleaning and sanitizing the society's equipment as it is returned, we have no additional room for donations at this time. - Our space is fully utilized!

A client showed me this antique concertina today! I love the little bells along one side! I've been working throughout the pandemic, though with a smaller core group of people. I'm eligible for a vaccine; I'll get more info next week on locations. Earnest prayers that our officials will work out logistical issues soon!

It was such a nice treat to have a beautiful walk along the river yesterday!

A client and I made applesauce together for a fun activity. It took less time than I thought less than 1 1/2 hrs for 5 quarts of sauce, start to finish. We had a light lunch together afterwards. A perfect fall Saturday!

It’s been wonderful to have good weather to finally get my clients out of their houses. Even a short walk can be such a boost to the spirits.

We were in a slump with ideas for meals, so we pulled out some favorite recipes from her cookbook and her mom’s file box. It brought back happy memories of her mom and feeding her family of boys.

As a companion, I don’t take a client’s medicines out of the bottles and dispense them. However, I do medication reminders and verifications of what the client or their family has dispensed. I can also pick up medicine for a client from their pharmacy.
