First week back to teaching. I am loving our new space
WE DID IT! Since we couldn’t be together today for our usual studio recital and reception in Brooklyn, we had three mini recitals on Zoom this morning instead. I was so stressed out that technology would fail us, but it was a success and I am very proud of all of my students! Thanks to Jon Rose for making our recorded piano accompanimentwe missed YOU and your cookies most of all!
Absolutely superb, even when they aren’t together in person. Thank you, Met Orchestra, for this.
Berlin Phil is now offering 30 days free for Digital Concert Hall! I highly encourage you to check it out! Tell me what you listen to and what you like about it below!
I feel so fortunate that I have been able to continue to teach the vast majority of my students virtually. My students are the highlights of my week and it’s been great to still see your happy faces and make some music (even if we can’t play together at the same time!) I literally had the soundtrack to this movie running through my dreams last night, so I had to play it out today. I hope you enjoy it
A sparse schedule in the studio for Winter Recess means I have time to prevent my brain from turning to mush by forcing myself to play the piano. I’m loving this gorgeous new piano in Studio B and am so at home in The Music Room. Music educators in Park Slopeif you’re looking to plant yourself in a cozy space to teach a couple days a week instead of walking to/from studentsreach out! Okay, this is probably the most darling thing I’ve seen in a while. How precious?
My kids finally got to see the studio space I use today while mama did some sound checking. Alaina installed new sound panels and did an awesome jobcould barely hear her teaching a piano lesson next door while I was playing and she remarked the same. I love being able to show my kids where I go to work and that it’s such a beautifully cozy space. Home away from home.
A couple of us played this piece this past school year and I just had to share one of my favorite ladies performing it with you https://www.facebook.com/annesophiemut//3072805559468031/
Join us as we honor Isaac Stern on the centenary of his birth, exploring his legacy as a violinist, educator, and arts advocate who changed the course of classi...cal music worldwide. These are trying times. Enjoy!
I am intrigued and look forward to this announcement tomorrow!
