The real person behind the real estate agent... It feels like yesterday that this bright-eyed little boy was looking up at me as he tugged on my leg. The other day, Bryan text us his final grades.... I think it shook us all a bit, as the reality of graduation set in. Everyday I thank God for my blessings. Today I realized why He has blessed me so abundantly in my business. He is protecting me by keeping me busy. Life is heartbreakingly beautiful. We are 4 days from sitting at our first borns graduation from college and a few short months later, we will watch him walk out the door to serve out country. I was a military wife and I loved it. Now, I will be a military mom and it’s just different. That’s my son. He’s a part of my heart and soul that walks this earth outside my body. Life is a blur, at times. If we are being honest, most of the time. We run and run. We don’t take nearly enough time to stop and smell the roses. It’s not our fault. It’s how most of us are programmed. It’s just life. One thing I do remember, clearly, is how I felt when I became a mom. It was, and always will be, (well-maybe grandkids will change that lol) my greatest blessing. I cant believe the boy who started it all will graduate Friday. How is this happening? I remember when it was just little Bry and mommy against the world. And now, my son is a man. A man who will do amazing things in his life without his mom there to protect him. His mom who will hope every day that she did a good job. His mom who will pray that he will be safe and protected out there in this big world. This is what we want, right? We want to raise strong, independent, confident humans. Of course, we do. But, when the time comes for them to fly, it doesn’t make it easy to let go. Moms and dads of little ones, enjoy them. I promise, you will never regret not working more but you will wish you could go back and spend more time with your babies. It feels like yesterday this little face was looking up at me while he tugged in my leg. It feels like all I did was blink and we are 4 days away from graduation. Be safe, my boy. Do great things in this world and always remember how much you are loved.

The real person behind the real estate agent: How’s this for a small world story? Last summer I posted about my son leaving for Officer Candidate School. ... My friend, Debbie, messaged me that her daughters boyfriend was leaving the same time. I knew the chances of them meeting were slim to none but I told Bryan. I’m sure you all know what his reaction was. ‘Suuuure, Mom, I’ll meet this kid’. Well, Bryan’s increment got moved to a later date so a meeting would not be happening. I never said anything to Deb about the change. A couple of months later, she messaged me that Ryan (daughters boyfriend) and Bryan were in the same platoon. I’ll admit, I thought she was losing it. How could they be in the same platoon if they went at different times?! Low and behold, Ryan had something come up and was moved also. So a boy from Long Island and a Texas A&M kid from Kansas, who know the same people, ended up together and the best of friends. My favorite was Bryan sending me this picture and quoting himself, ‘Mom, I’ll never meet this kid. You know how many hundreds of people will be there.’ These last 4 years have been full of great moments like this for our son and our family. We are blessed to have each other and be surrounded by people like Ryan.

Good Morning, Facebook Sunday is shopping day for many (or if you’re like me, you run in daily). 2020 has hit most of us hard...mentally, physically, emotionally and financially.... If this were any other year, I would be running around preparing for a big holiday fundraiser. For obvious reasons, that’s not happening. I spoke to a couple of the organizations we have helped in the past (Hope House Minestries, Lighthouse Missions, etc) and they are HURTING. I cant sit back and not try to do something.
