Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL) presents its free 2013 Winter Dance Intensive Program, made possible by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the NY City Council and awarded by Council member Leroy Comrie. Audition Information... Date - Monday, November 4 Location - ESOTA - The Edge School of the Arts Address - 217-12 Merrick Boulevard, Laurelton, Queens Time - immediately after school dismissal Requirements - pick up an application from IS 59, Room 105 - bring completed application to audition - wear proper dance attire Program Details - open to IS 59 students only - classes held at JCAL (164-01 Jamaica Ave) & ESOTA (217-12 Merrick) - November 4 - December 18 - Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday Training - classical ballet - Graham and Horton based modern - HS audition preparation for eighth grade students Schedule will be received at the placement audition..... We ask everyone to share this information with all IS 59 students.

KECDE Family, We are saddened to share that we have lost one of our KECDE grandmothers, Helen Johnson - Grandmother of Domonique Johnson. Ms. J. always made sure Dom was on each and every KECDE trip and hung right on in there with us on each and every KECDE adventure!!!! She continually supported KECDE throughout the years. We love you Ms. J! May you rest in peace!
