**Immediate Press Release** On Wednesday December 30th at 1054 Hrs Kenilworth Chief Anthony Marano reported to fire dispatch a working fire at the corner of Moore Ave and Niagara Falls Blvd. Chief Marano asked for the daytime mutual aid companies of Ellwood FD and Brighton FD along with the FAST team of Kenmore FD and a ladder truck from Sheridan Park FD. Once on location Chief Marano reported a shed fire behind the house, spreading to the house. More arriving crews on location were able to enter the structure and assist extinguishing the fire while checking for extension and overhaul. The fire on the first floor was reported out in roughly 35 minutes of dispatch. The second floor and attic was reported out roughly 45 minutes after dispatch. The fire is under investigation Mutual aid companies that responded were Ellwood FD, Brighton FD, Kenmore FD (FAST), Sheridan Park FD, Eggertsville FD (2nd FAST), North Bailey (Hall Fill). Update: we’re starting in the northern part of the district , by Sheridan drive and making our way south. Kenilworth fire company is out in the district with Santa!!! Listen for the sirens as we will be going throughout the area to see Santa .
Attention Residents of Kenilworth: We have been talking back and forth with the North Pole and are happy to announce Santa will be making his annual trip to Kenilworth on Christmas Eve. Santa doesn't have to worry about COVID, but our fire department personnel still do and as a result things will look a little different this year. In order to keep everyone safe we wont be making any stops or handing out candy like we have in the past. We will still be driving around the district and will have updates about the route and times in the next few weeks so stay tuned!
Kenilworth will be out escorting Santa around the Kenilworth fire district on Christmas Eve starting at 11am. We will be starting in the north end of the district and working our way south.
