Shows one of the more recent accidents or collisions on Kenmore Ave. Luckily, no-one was killed... I'm told there are at least 2 such accidents a month on this stretch of Kenmore. Perhaps better street lighting is needed? Some traffic calming measures? Other safety features?
Inside view: Here are some interior photos from one of our Upper units. Both our upper units are equipped with in-suite ductless A/C, offering individual climate control. A great help in the summer months.
Work on upgrading the property continues. We've just installed new railings at the rear after clearing out shrubs and other plantings. Next up in Spring 2019: a new retaining wall and bike rings!

Vacancy at our building - 2 bedroom lower now available! We are currently prepping to start showing after Labor Day. This unit has some extra bells and whistles. Renovated in 2016, it boasts 4 appliances in the kitchen - fridge, stove, built-in microwave, dishwasher - plus the bathroom also has an updated toilet and vanity. Lots of in-suite storage: closets in bedrooms, double-depth hallway closet, built-in cupboard and drawers in the hallway, bookshelves, china cabinet and more. Separate dining room, storage locker in the basement, garage parking, on-site coin laundry shared with one other tenant. Occupancy Sep. 15 or Oct. 1.
Here's what $8K in taxes gets you in the Town of Tonawanda, NY! We used to have a lovely front yard landscape (circa 2009 and 2010). So much so, tour buses used to swing by when the sedums were in bloom. And then... and then... The curb stones eroded and haven't been replaced...The snow plows dump all the snow with salt and debris from the road onto the curbstrip and sidewalk fronting our property... the sidewalks couldn't be used, so people took to trampling our plants under the snow.. And now, in 2019, all we have left is a mess. And no-one in Erie County or the Town is willing to get the curbstones replaced or the sidewalk fixed (it ponds badly.) Saddest of all, if there was decent topsoil on the curbstrip, the sedums would have colonized the area by now. Imagine! Free, drought-resistant plants that never need mowing...
Available July 1, 2019: 2 bedroom/one bathroom upper apartment. Includes appliances in kitchen, one garage space, storage locker in basement, on-site coin laundry.
Spring returns to Kenmore Estates Apartments... and we've already begun yard work, trying to restore the landscaping we had before the winter.
For close to 10 years, we have asked our neighboring property owner to get his plow operator to change his practises. Instead, this person keeps blocking the sidewalk, damaging our property and burying the hydrant. We caught him red-handed on January 30, 2019. We have also reported him to the authorities because he is endangering public safety. And forget that old argument: "You gotta have somewhere to put the snow". Yes, you do - it is called your own land: not the sidewalk, not your neighbor's property, and not the fire hydrant!
