Wrapped up a 2 year old case. My guy got youthful offender, case sealed with 5 years of probation. His co-defender found guilty of gang conspiracy for 40 years. There's no other way to call this. A WIN.

Little and grown, all showed up yesterday for goodies. That’s what a community law firm can do.

What happened to Jacob Blake is something I witness all the time, on a smaller scale as a criminal defense lawyer. After a warrant is issued and the police start to track down the clients, it’s also the time when violent encounters easily occurred. I am a procedural expert when comes to pre-arrest, there are arrangements that I can make with the police to avoid unnecessary force. I cannot solve all the problems with the police use of excessive force and institutional racism. I can help to prevent avoidable harm when comes to warrants or pre-arrests. Please call our office 24/7 at 212-234-8494 when you are investigated and sought out by the police and warrant squad.

If you have a court date, as of now, all non-essential court appearances will be adjourned automatically to sometime in June. You do not have to appear in court. If you have questions about this, please call and talk to our attorneys to find out the next court appearance.

While the country is consumed by the bravery of Dr. Blasey Ford, I decided to go back to my community in Harlem to speak to residents about their basic legal rights. In my practice, I commonly represent witnesses who have been the victims of violent situations. I have made it my mission to elevate and honor the voices of victims everywhere.

Manafort was indicted for 8 charges, and Cohen pleaded guilty to campaign finance violations, tax fraud and bank fraud. Despite imperfection, our justice system continues to function the way it should be. In my small universe, I ran into a lawyer who told me that I represented him 20 years ago, and got his case dismissed. He, instead, decided to become a lawyer himself. I have no recollection of him, when he called my name, just felt thankful that I had made a difference in someone's life.

I remember when college students were at the forefront of change in different places all over the world. In this country college students put pressure on the government to end the Vietnamese war. My friends and I were part of that movement on the campus of the University of Wisconsin Madison. College students were also at the forefront of the civil rights movement in this country with their multiple sit ins at lunch counters in the South. No one can forget the student led... protests in China at Tiananmen Square. Now the time is for High School students to take the lead and force real gun legislation, not the tidbits that are being force fed them now. I am inspired by this movement and want to see an assault rifle ban, stricter background checks, and tighter more restrictive oversight regulations of gun shows. High school students will be a force to reckon with, because they will be the voters of tomorrow. There is even talk of a nationwide student strike at school. Wow. Something is going to get done this time. I can feel it. Parents should encourage their children to be active in this movement to limit access to guns. Their lives could depend on it. See more
