We caught our first swarm tonight. We are totally not prepared, so here’s hoping....
We added supers to our hives today. They are making honey like crazy. The flow is on. So, as we are getting the supers ready we realize that we are missing one super frame and had no idea where it was. We found it. It was mixed in with the deeps and the girls started building comb on the bottom. So cool. BEES ARE SO AWESOME!!!
We did a hive inspection late tonight. Was concerned about our purple hive. They have been bearding. Upon inspection we found the super full of honey, so we added another super. Our other 3 hives were not as full but will need a super added shortly. I was so surprised. Bees are so awesome.
Today is a cool day which makes it a good day to finish up this round of mite treatments. Our hives are looking strong.
