Today is World Veterinary Day 2021 (This year’s theme is The Veterinarian Response to the Covid-19 Crisis) It was quite a year! Veterinary professionals were quite literally thrown into the fire when having to deal with this pandemic. We have dealt with less staff, an increase in patients, shorter business hours and the task of figuring out how to treat our patients while keeping everyone safe. This past year we saw firsthand what disease can do to a global nation. Most of a...ll we want to thank our human Doctors & nurses for being the true hero’s. We want to thank our hard-working Veterinarians & Staff for their diligence, dedication and unwavering support. But a year has passed and we all still have the same thought.... when will we resume to some normalcy and proceed as we have for the past five years. It weighs on us daily. We miss the client-doctor-patient interaction, we miss the friendly faces coming through our doors, and we miss how happy our patients were with their humans by their side. I’m not gonna lie... it’s been tough. It’s been tough on our clients, our Doctors, our staff and even your pets. But we continue to take this day by day. We will continue to be there for each of you, we will continue to keep your visits as smooth as possible and we will continue to offer compassionate Veterinary care to our thousands of patients. Guidelines for all Veterinary clinics are directed by NYS, not clinics itself. As soon as we know when there will be a change in these guidelines we will inform you immediately. We are firm believers in recycling, protecting and reusing. We purchase earth & pet friendly products to ensure our environment is toxic free. We run on a paperless system that ensures less paper is used, have recycle boxes throughout the clinic and take great pride in the phrase reduce, reuse and recycle. If we all do our part, we can make a difference. After all, we only have one Earth-let’s protect it for ourselves, our children and our pets
