We’re gearing up for World Landscape Architecture Month, an international celebration that begins tomorrow! Landscape architects are responsible for creating beautiful spaces that oftentimes have longstanding impacts on our lives without us even realizing it. This year, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) theme is Growing Together, and will showcase all the ways in which communities grow together in the spaces landscape architects create. We’re going to do the same but on a local level ... #GrowingTogether #WLAM2021

This brand-new 3D printer has found a home! Assembled in-house from a kit manufactured by PRUSA and diligently printing away after a careful assembly. It has been calibrated and is being put through its paces by printing a benchmark object (affectionately named Benchy by the 3D printing community). This ensures the printer can successfully achieve all print conditions required of it for whatever jobs its future may hold!
Is there a particular building, anywhere in the world, that you most admire? If so, what, where & why? Post a pic if you can!

Welcome to Day 5 - the last day of Engineers Week 2021! Today we bring it home to Central New York and the genesis of Civil Engineering in America the Erie Canal! It’s worthy to note that at the start of this project, there were no professional civilian engineers in the United States. Those that served as engineers were surveyors, lawyers, and teachers who self-trained for the job. Others, such as Canvass White (a celebrated American engineer and inventor), traveled to Eng...land to study their canals. Engineering, no matter the discipline, is an incredible vocation built on commitment, excellence, and fortitude. Congratulations to all engineers on centuries well done.
Celebrating Engineers Week Day 4 Did you know? The Brooklyn Bridge was the first suspension bridge to use steel wire in its construction, an idea pioneered by the original designer John Augustus Roebling. The engineer proudly proclaimed steel the metal of the future, which was certainly proven by later developments. Source: thefactfile.org
Engineers Week Day 3 Structural Engineering can actually be dated back to when tree branches were secured together with vines to make shelters. It’s come a long way since then!... Thanking all structural engineers out there for the hard work they do each day.
One of the pre-pandemic things we miss most at KHH is working on puzzles together at break. Luckily, most of us have puzzles to do at home. Happy Game and Puzzle Week everyone!
