Parents of children AND dogs. Please protect the one you love by teaching, supervising and enforcing proper behavior. Dogs show all these signs BEFORE they bite. Watch your children and your dog to be sure that no one, including the dog, is in any danger. Intervene early. Once a dog bites a child, it may be difficult to protect them. PS: Keep your pets up to date on vaccines - especially rabies. ... No current rabies vaccine could be a death sentence for your dog if there is a bite. The dog must be killed to test for rabies.
