Surfers weren’t out yesterday morning but a few Great Egrets were. Referenced my Sibley Guide: Great Egrets are very similar to Snowy Egrets, but are larger and have black feet while Snowy Egrets have yellow feet. Happy Easter everyone.

At first I thought this was a Red-tailed hawk....until I sat down to edit and saw very it’s distinctive tail feathers (swipe to second pic). After looking on internet and through our Sibley Guide I’m now pretty confident it’s a Red-shouldered Hawk. #birdsofprey #raptors
