Kim's West Winds

ANNOUNCEMENT It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing the last day of operation of Kim's West Winds will be Sunday, September 2, 2018. This decision was one of the most difficult choices I have ever had to make, but there comes a time when you need to change the direction of your life. ... I have made many friends during the nearly five years that I have operated West Winds and will miss each and every one of you. I hope our paths will cross many times in the future.

The diner's hours for Friday & Saturday have changed for this week.. Friday (8/10) I will be open from 6am - 2pm. Saturday (8/11) I will be open from 6am - 11am. Sorry for any inconvenience but there is a very special young couple getting married this weekend!!! Best Wishes Ryan & Camryn!!

I normally don't do this,BUT my blood is boiling. I am closed on Mondays as everyone knows. I went to Albany very early this am (due to the heat),came back unloaded. The rest of the day is for me. Went to the diner this afternoon (3ish) to find 2 bags of garbage sitting on my back porch(in the heat). The nerve of some people. I pay to have my garbage taken away,so you need to do the same(whomever dropped it).. OK my rant is over for now.Stay cool.

Please keep the Kevin McDermott family in your thoughts & prayers as Kevin had a terrible motorcycle accident a couple weeks ago.

On Saturday(August 4th),I will hosting a book signing for Gerald Finn at the diner from 10 am - Noon for the ever famous " A Good & Noble Thing". It is the book that he wrote pertaining to Dr. Anna Ward Perkins,M.D. You can bring your book that you have already purchased or you can purchase one at the diner for signing. The book cost $20. Dr Perkins was a remarkable lady for sure.Hope to see you there.

I guess "Mr Bear" decided that since I am at the diner more than home,he would pay me a visit there. So now I have left him the hours that I am open,so I can get a good look at him. I am told that he is a big one. Beware Rt 145 neighbors.

Friday Nite Dinner Special(July 27th): Turkey served over Dressing w/Gravy,Veggies & Cranberry Sauce. Enjoy your last weekend of July. Where has summer gone?? P.S. Don't forget that Oak Hill Day is Saturday.

Friday Nite Dinner Special (July 20th): Italian Sausage,Rigatoni Skillet Dish(similar to Ziti but with a creamy tomato sauce and not baked) served w/ Garden Salad & Garlic Bread.Hope everyone has a great weekend.
