Join the Buffalo Museum of Science for their annual Community Health Day celebration is going virtual this year with Community Health Day at Home, presented by Independent Health! Visit their Facebook and YouTube channels on January 18 for a series of virtual health and wellness demos and explore positive changes you can make to achieve and maintain a healthier lifestyle. Featured activities and demos will include specially recorded videos for the event, such as a beginner’s ...yoga class for kids, mindfulness sessions, a cooking demonstration, and even a peek into the healthy habits of Buffalo Bills defensive tackle, Harrison Phillips! While the Museum will be closed for the event this year, everyone is invited to pick up Free Community Health Day Activity Bags the weekend before the event thanks to the generosity of Independent Health and community partners. These handy Independent Health thermal tote bags contain giveaways, family friendly activities to complete at home, recipes, bike safety information, and healthy lifestyle tips. Thank you to all who participated in our Community Face Mask class on December 20th! We were able to donate 104 masks to Catholic Charities, WIC and CAO. @FashionLabNY

Thank you to our partners and friends of the Buffalo Equestrian Center and Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center (BTRC) This morning four trucks full of incredible gifts off the wish lists of four wonderful King Urban Life Center families will be delivered along with boxes and boxes of much needed food items. We are forever grateful to the BEC & BTRC and their amazing donors for once again giving so much to make this holiday season abundant for our families.

In the spirit of the season, we’re partnering with FashionLab NY to offer two free community Face Mask workshops this Sun, 12/20. Face masks made during these sessions will be donated to our local community for Christmas. The sessions will be 10-1pm and 2-5pm.
