The Kleinman Holocaust Education Center 17.05.2021

There were approximately 232 thousand children and young people up to the age of 18 among the 1.3 million or more people deported to the German Nazi Auschwitz-B...irkenau camp. This figure includes about 216 thousand Jews, 11 thousand Gypsies, at least 3 thousand Poles, over 1 thousand Byelorussians, and significant numbers of Russians, Ukrainians, and others. There were at least 700 children and youth prisoners, including about 500 under 15, in Auschwitz when the Soviet soldiers arrived. More than half of these children were Jewish. --- Photo: @@urban_walker69 ---

From shtreimel wearers to bareheaded Israelis, we are al one people."
