Queen of Hearts Week 34. This week the winner was Ann Duffany. The envelope she picked was #11 and inside was the envelop was the 9 of Clubs. Ann won $12 this week. The Jackpot total is now $5,311.00 and continues to grow. Please stop in and get your Queen of Hearts tickets. Yesterday's Klock-Smith Blood Drive achieved its goal of 25 units of blood collected for the American Red Cross. There were 33 people signed up, 32 showed, and 25 units of blood were collected. Klock-Smith American Legion Post 1788 and the American Red Cross appreciates each and every donor who comes in, whether blood is donated or not. Some were turned away for low iron. The need for blood continues to be great and the compassion of donors truly does save the lives of others. Thank You!! The next Klock-Smith blood drive is in February 2022. Please sign up today on the Red Cross site.

This week the Queen of Hearts was not found. The Card drawn was the 8 of Diamonds in envelope #22. The winner was Amanda Trimble and she won $12. The new jackpot is $4,001. Stop by the Legion and get your tickets. The next drawing will be held on Wed. 15 Dec.

Klock-Smith Post 1788 Auxiliary along with the Klock-Smith Post 1788 family presented the Children's Christmas Party on December 5, 2021. After a wonderful breakfast, the nearly 100 children each received a gift from Santa. Photos of the children were taken, but only photos approved by family have been posted. Additional photos of adults involved in the event are shared. Thank you to all who came out and enjoyed the community festivities.

Klock-Smith Post 1788 will conduct a Memorial Ceremony for Fred LaClair at the Cumming Funeral Home in Clayton at 6PM on 1 Dec 21. All members of Post 1788 are invited.
There’s been a delay with the obit, Fred LaClair past on Sunday evening at his home. Calling hours will be at Cummings funeral home Clayton, Wednesday evening 4-7 hopefully we get the obit straightened out but wanted the legion family to be aware

Please share this post with your friends. Klock-Smith American Legion Post 1788 Queen of Hearts game jackpot stands at $4,161.00 with eight cards remaining. Tonight Don Bresett won the draw and he had picked card 37. Behind card 37 was a Joker so he received a payout of $20.00. We sold 311 tickets so after paying Don, the remaining $291.00 was added to the jackpot. Please support the Klock-Smith American Legion by coming out and playing the Queen of Hearts. It costs a dollar a ticket to play. The winner gets 60 percent of the jackpot. The remaining 40 percent goes to the Legion to for Veteran and Community support programs. Thanks!!
WATERTOWN, NY The Volunteer Transportation Center, Inc. (VTC) will host the 22nd Annual North Country Chili Cook-Off but in a format unlike any other year. The annual event is typically held at the Dulles State Office Building in Watertown on the first Saturday of February. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision was made to pursue a way to host the event in a way that would follow New York State mandates and adhere to CDC guidelines.
