People don't automatically know God. They may know that there is a God. They may believe that God expects certain things of them based on what they have been told. And they may be right or wrong about some things. But when they ask, let us not turn them away. Let us not tell them they are wrong and they should look somewhere else for what they are asking. Let us show them the way. The one true way. Let us introduce them to God and show them His love and mercy. Jesus would have never turned someone away just because they misunderstood Him. He would have explained who He was in terms that the person asking could understand.
