MacFawn Fire & Flood Restoration is pleased to announce our February installment of #ResourcesForResponders - bringing unique opportunities monthly to #CapitalD...istrict first responders. For the month of February, we have teamed up with our friend Kyle Haines - owner of Altamont Chimney Sweep and Fire Chief at the Altamont Fire Department. With Kyle's experiences in both the chimney industry and the fire service, he is uniquely positioned to bring some great education on the topic of chimney fires to our first responder community. Register now - you won't want to miss it! Knox Fire Co donated turkeys to Rock Road Chapel and Hilltown Resources for Thanksgiving dinners . Diane and I matched their donation. Hanneford had turkeys f...or .37/lb limit of 2 so we hit all the stores and between us we got 37 turkeys for those who need some support. How did we get that many with limit of 2 our secret. UPDATE: A MESSAGE FROM THE CHURCH "We at Zion would like to thank those that have expressed their sympathies to us as we face the destruction of yet another fi...re. We are all deeply saddened and in shock at this devastation. Our grief is overwhelming at this point, and there is much to be managed. So much has already been taken away from worshipping communities due to the pandemic, and this only compounds the unknown. We ask that the community please be respectful of the grief and sorrow in conversation. While most conversation has been shared grief and dismay at what has happened, some has not been. We hear what is said at registers and in restaurants because this is our community and home too. We are also standing in line even if we do not always say anything. Please hold us in your thoughts and prayers as we try to figure out next steps. Thank you again for those that have expressed their sympathies. There is so much work ahead of us and we appreciate your understanding as we face the unknown." Please note from the Admin of this page: PLEASE STOP THE RUMORS...BE KIND. If you have any questions for Zion you may contact them at (518) 234-3381 OR leave a message on their Facebook Page at: https://www.facebook.com/ZionCobleskill This was an extensive interior fire. The church waits for the final decision about the fire...we all need to wait, too. First inspection looks like an electrical fire. NOT anything to do with arson. So many memories for so many families in our community! Confirmations, weddings, funerals, baptisms, one of our food pantries located here. The summer food program started here. And the list goes on.

PSA - With many families living week to week my staff and I have decided to make Thanksgiving dinners for those families in need. We have a targeted list but anticipate having meals left over. If you know of anyone that is in NEED please contact us. Thanks and have a blessed day.
