Hey Facebook friends. I NEED your help. The WEMOCO Laboratory Technology program is looking for laboratory science workers/companies that would be willing to act as guest speakers for our class (PM if you might be interested in more). Lab Tech students learn over 75 different employable technical skills along with the collegiate level content knowledge in their junior and senior years in high school. Can YOU help? PM me if you are interested and please like/share as much as p...ossible. We are also looking for potential mentors for our students in human medical lab, animal medical lab, biotech, industrial chemistry, environmental science and food production science. To those that I tagged: you were tagged because I either know you are involved in laboratory science (or used to be) or might be strong advocate for sharing solid science education. Please like/share/PM me. Finally, consider changing your profile pic or adding this pic as a featured pic for your profile.
After viewing the career information and the course content on our Facebook page, would you like to set up a visit to the school?
This album has jpegs of the sell sheet, the employability profile (skills students learn in the course and are rated by the instructor) and the combined syllabus for the course.
The Laboratory Technology program prepares students to work in 6 different areas of laboratory science: human medical laboratory, animal medical laboratory, biotechnology, environmental science, food production science and industrial chemistry. Tier 1 is direct employment out of the program, tier 2 requires an 2 year college degree and tier 3 requires a 4 year college degree.
One of our current students is so passionate about the Laboratory Technology program that she has posted a testimonial. Go to: https://youtu.be/8V-bX9sJ4_0
