The Brothers and Sisters in Rockland County have been battling this multiple alarm fire at an adult living facility for over 4 hours. They have had Multiple rescues, a mayday, collapse and many issues with water supply that have hindered firefighting operations. Please keep all those involved in your thoughts and prayers as they have a long way to go.
At about 5:45 pm today, the Goshen Fire Department was dispatched for a reported snowmobile accident on the Goshen Reservoir off Reservoir Road. GFD units and EMS arrived and were advised that a victim was possibly in the water. Specially trained cold water rescue technicians attached to the Minisink Hook & Ladder Company made entry to the water and after a brief search located a victim in the water. The victim was removed from the water by the Cold Water Rescue Team, and was... moved to the shore by Goshen FD members, where EMS began to treat the victim. The victim was further transported by the NY State Police Troop F snowmobile unit, where he was loaded into a waiting ambulance and transported to an area hospital. A total of two patients were transported, and no further information is available at this time regarding the victims' condition. The accident investigation is being handled by the NY State Police, and anyone with any inquiries or information should contact NYSP Troop F. Goshen FD was assisted by Goshen EMS, Mobile Life Support Services, NYSP, Monroe FD, Cronomer Valley FD, and Chester FD, as well as the Town of Goshen Police Department. See more
This afternoon, the Goshen Fire Department was call as mutual aid to Chester with an engine and the FAST team to the scene. Our Engine 932 and Truck 937 respond...ed. Our members were put to work on the hose lines, knocking down fire on the first floor and checking for extension. Good job to all of our members as well as the other departments that were called. Today we would like to thank our brothers and sisters in service from the Village of Goshen Police, Town of Goshen Police, Orange County Sheriff's Office, and the NY State Police who answer the call to keep our community safe. We would also like to thank our friends in Law Enforcement around the country, and especially our own members who volunteer their time with us in addition to serving as police and correctional officers. May you always come home safe, and thank you for your service and dedication to your community.
