This stack is the @pantone 2021 color(s) of the year, ultimate gray and illuminating. The metal I work in is naturally already in that color spectrum so this was super fun to dive into. Top to bottom: gray spinel set in 14k yellow gold, citrine set into silver and finally grey diamonds set into 18k gold for a reimagined diamond eternity band. PSA: Valentine’s Day is Sunday I just finished these two gold rings. One is a rainbow moonstone from Madagascar and the other a purple spinel. The second slide is a profile view, so you can see the height of these stones. And to nerd-out a little more... inside of the spinel ring, behind the gold bezel, I built an infrastructure . The stone was not flat at the bottom, so there is an edge with a fine silver bottom that will not tarnish but reflect the light for an endless depth of color. I also built a second inner bezel that’s not visible but gives volume to the edge. She wanted to add a Hessonite as suggest from someone she met while traveling through India.
