On Sunday morning August 12th, the Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association Inc. hosted their 23rd annual young anglers fishing tournament on beautiful Lake Lauderdale. The almost fifty young anglers age 18 months to 15 years old, lined the county park shoreline for a fun morning of fishing, face painting, food and prizes. Elijah Barnes caught the most fish. The largest fish was a 21.5 inch bass that was caught by Joey Spendiff, who won the grand prize. Other prize winners wer...e: Age group 18 months to 6 years; 1st place, Halle Tomlinson; 2nd place, Cash Richardson; 3rd Prize Wes Galusha. Age group 7-9 years; 1st place Brigid Toleman; 2nd place, Spencer Cottrell; 3rd place, Evelyn Curtis. Age group 10-15 years; 1st place, Peyton Henry; 2nd place, Harley Barnes; 3rd place Isaac Toleman. Thanks to the generosity and support from individual donations, Cambridge area businesses and several nationally known fishing companies, all young anglers received a prize for participating in this event. This annual event hosted by the Lake Lauderdale Improvement Association, Inc. provides a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy a fun morning of fishing and fun.
