Adopt-A-Project Day

Under construction: Cabin #9 is the next cabin to receive a much-needed bathroom addition. We hope to have it ready for family rentals in early June.

Summer Camp Registration

One year ago today we were enjoying a great 4th-8th Grade Winter Retreat. Little did we know that COVID would make it our last in-person program for a long time. We can't wait to see all these campers and many more this coming summer!

Valentine's/Presidents' Day winter fun at LCLC. (You may need to zoom in to see LCLC creatively written in the snow.) We were happy to host families in both the Retreat Center and Redeemer Lodge this past Saturday through Wednesday.

Conditions are perfect for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, or simply hiking around LCLC. Feel free to stop by for an outside visit. Be safe though. Wear a mask and maintain your social distance.

While the beautiful frozen lake makes it seem like summer is a lifetime away, plans for summer are happening. If, NY State permits camping to return in 2021, rest assured LCLC will be ready to provide as safe an experience as possible. Our policies and procedures for summer camp will be based on the Center for Disease Control’s Interim Guidance for Schools and Camps, the American Camp Association’s standards for accreditation, and the Chautauqua County Department of Health’s guidance and certification. As always, LCLC continues to strive to provide safe, fun, and faith-filled experiences for people of all ages. We pray that the COVID situation this summer will allow us to do so in 2021. Your patience as we wait for a decision by NY State is appreciated. Until then, get outside and enjoy winter!

Remembering a great Senior High Winter Retreat one year ago. This retreat along with the 4th-8th Grade Winter Retreat in March, have been great ways for our campers to reconnect with old and make new camp friends. Bible studies, devotions, sledding, crafts, singing, and camp games fill these retreats with faith and fun. While we had to cancel these popular retreats for this winter, we hope to replace them with something else this fall. Stay tuned for possible weekends of autumn fun in 2021.

Ready for work! Thanks to Chuck and Sue R. for their generous donation of a new chainsaw and related supplies. Thanks also to the Grace Endowment for Prince of Peace Lutheran, Clifton Park, for their generous grant of $750 for additional power and hand tools. Having the right tools for the job is something we're very thankful for.
