Lake Placid Music is unofficially closed down and ready for new tenants to take over the space. All that remains are the two outdoor signs. The new tenants are among the area's most trusted and successful who plan to move in on the 15th. It may not be a retail outlet, but the new enterprise should bring some more jobs and income to the area.

The two BOSS pedals, the green and yellow ones on the outside, each retail for well over $100. The middle pedal, a Snark tuner, retails for around the mid 50s. They're all brand new and on sale for $39 each. Best time to catch me today is this afternoon between 3 and 5:00 p.m.

These display cases are about all I have left along with lots of guitar strings and some other small accessories. I do still have a new 3/4 size violin also that retails for over $225 I'll let go for just $99. Anybody want those display cases? I'll take the first offer that comes around.

Business hours for Lake Placid Music will vary according to my latest pill regimen. For the most part you can almost expect me to be there between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and later that afternoon between 3 and 5 p.m. You're also welcome to call me at 315-408-4594 if you'd like to set something up. Today I'm setting out a Polytone guitar amp and a Crate p.a. system on the side where everything is free. Just come and take it all away. It's mostly my personal gear I've used for years, so it's not very pretty, especially that Polytone, but it all still works. The stuff on the other side is brand new or hardly used. For that you're welcome to make me an offer. Among that group is a nice little Marshall amp that's brand new.

Lake Placid Music will be closed Tuesday Nov. 10 while I spend the night in Albany to participate in a clinical study to test a new drug designed for patients with Parkinson's disease. Bruce Thompson will be there Wednesday the 11th to tell you about the many beautiful hand-made guitars and other instruments of his hanging in the shop. A very happy couple left there on Saturday with one of his classical guitars that he'll guarantee for life.
