What can I say, the good Lord surely provides. I go from Maple syrup maker, to cutting and skidding logs out today with Alan Lyng, to welding a broken bracket on my tractor seat. I am so thankful that the Lord made me the way I am, I wouldn't want to be anything other than the farmer at heart. The world is really crazy right now ,wouldn't everyone want the peace that comes with knowing our Saviour Jesus? Hope you all have a truly blessed weekend, Allen

Well, finished out what I had left in the tanks. Made 7 gallons of a nice medium amber. I'll be cleaning the tanks and pans tomorrow and getting ready for the next run. The next run looks like Saturday so I'll be all ready. We have lots of syrup all bottled up if your looking and we do ship. Have a great week and hopefully see you Saturday.

Good morning everyone, it looks like another great syrup day. It ran really well yesterday right up till the sun went down. I'll be starting out with about 700 gallons today. Hope you all have a truly blessed day with this gorgeous weather that the Lord has given us.

What a beautiful sight, 225 gallons of pure sap from the trees that the Lord above made. It's going to make great Maple syrup along with the 600 gallons at the sugarhouse. A truly blessed day on this 22 degree day. Its a little chilly outside, nothing a nice hot cup of coffee and a room full of steam wont fix. I'll be boiling until 4pm today and most of the day Saturday. Stop by and say hello, hope you all have a blessed day.

What a beautiful sight, the sap is at 2.2 the day is absolutely beautiful. The Lord is truly awesome, feeling very blessed today with this perfect maple syrup weather. Hi all, not much excitement here, I walked the sap lines today and found a couple down. The wind storm the other day was pretty brutal and it knocked down 2 lines with a total of 47 taps on them. There was a big hole in the snow where the sap had emptied on the ground. While up there I took a little break on a flat rock and spent a little time praying. It seems life dumps alot of stuff on us and it can seem overwhelming or frustrating at times. So some time with the Lord always helps me get a clear head. It helps me realize that most of the time it's really just little things that seem big. Asking help from God during these times always helps. The rest of the week looks pretty cold but early next week looks great for syrup season. I'll post when I'm boiling so stop by the coffee will be on, have a great weekend and God bless.

Hey ,all just wanted share how blessed we are at Lakeview Farms. Started out with 600 gallons of sap to start my day. Got a nice visit from my love Marcinda Fou...ntain Wilbur and now enjoying a quick lunch out of my favorite cast iron frying pan. Great service at church this morning , great way to get motivated to follow Jesus. Then I went and checked sap tanks, I'll be boiling tomorrow to sweeten the pans. The sugarhouse is almost ready to go so hopefully I'll light the fire tomorrow morning. Have a blessed week everyone, Allen

Another 275 + tapped today, its alot easier going now that the ice has melted. Standing up there and looking out at the view, God certainly made it beautiful to look at. I've been tapping it for 11 years now and it never gets old, the Lords hand on everything is just beautiful. Hopefully we get a couple good runs in and I'll be boiling by early next week. I picked up a couple pretty cool books this weekend at a used book shop. They aren't super old ,the Dadant book was printed in 1976, it's copyrighted from 1917,1924 and 1938. The other is a print from the usda in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin in 1977. The best part is all the info still applies today. Hope you all have a great week and God bless.
