We and our animal friends absolutely love our sponsors & volunteers! One sponsor mom makes these beautiful meals and a sponsor dad extended the roof in the enclosure. A wonderful volunteer brought our straw order today and everyone is snug as a bug tonight!

Happily passing along updates and sharing this gofundme fundraiser because friends help friends-and Alyssa & Ragnar need your help. Saving our animal friends in never cheap but they are worth EVERY single cent that we can get to make their lives better. Ragnar update: He is feeling a little better today. He has drank about half a bucket of water on his own today which is about all the water he's drank on his own in 3 days. He walked to today without falling or going down tod...ay which is good news , he is getting stronger and has more energy. He is allowed to eat a little hay every hour and a half now. We did pass 2 bowel movements today which is 1 more than every day previously. We are not out of the woods but in the right direction! Last night around 9 p.m. our groundskeeper was leashing up our barn buddy Dante for a bedtime potty and Dante turned on him and ran off. Jeff is ok, (his hand is going to be sore for a while) but we have been unable to find Dante. He headed north down the driveway last he was seen. If you happen to see him please let us know!

Volunteers/community service: As we are tenants of another sanctuary we are going to temporarily change some rules. 1. Please no volunteers/visitors without 24 hours notice. You may call or text (716)990-7030 to arrange your visit. 2. Please do not feed any horses without asking ... 3. We have a portable toilet available on the premises. Please do not enter the house, porch or yard surrounding the house. 4. NO person under the age of 18 without their supervising adult by their side at all times. 5. Animals are unpredictable. Absolutely NO entry into an enclosure that contains an animal for any reason. If entry is urgent please contact one of the sanctuary workers for assistance. 6. Please do not park on the grass and respect the neighbor’s property line including the driveway. 7. The gate entering the farm area is to be locked AT ALL TIMES. Be sure to secure the gate when entering/exiting. We enjoy having people visit as much as people love to come visit our animals. This move has been an adjustment for us all including our host, please understand the sensitivity of the situation and the respect that is due in such a situation. Thank you. -Shannon

Just a little fun

If you have visited the barn you have most likely met our tallest resident, Bliss- A few days ago she stepped on something and it punctured her hoof! Between her farrier and vet we are very confident that she is on her way to a full recovery! She’s still going to need a lot of very special care which includes size 5 baby diapers, sports tape and duct tape. I mention this to show that medical supplies are always a welcome donation. We never know when one of our animals will get into mischief! Our most commonly used items are: sport tape, antibacterial ointment, epsom salts, eye wash, iodine, drawing salve and yep, you guessed it.....duct tape!

Our new farm friend "Dante" has settled in like he was always meant to be there! We adore this old guy and he for sure is attached to us! He loves slow walks & helping do the morning feed, treats and cuddling in his nice warm office/bedroom. PLEASE if you do happen to come to the barn-ensure that the outer door gets closed all the way so that our elderly friend does not wander off and get lost!

It was a little cold and muddy. But, that didn't stop the families from coming with the kids .. Our 1st trunk or treat at Lakeview Animal Sanctuary was amazing!! Loved all the costumes and seeing the kids so happy!!
