Media Bulletin - Additional charges Randal Rolison - Grand Jury Indictment. The investigation into the fatal hit and run accident that occurred on 12-31-21 in J...amestown has resulted in additional charges being levied against Randal J. Rolison, 58, of Jamestown, NY. . Rolison was arraigned this morning in Chautauqua County Court after a Chautauqua County Grand Jury handed up a three (3) count Indictment for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree. The ongoing investigation revealed that Rolison had three unregistered handguns in a storage unit located in the Town of Busti. With the assistance of the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office, investigators from the Jamestown Police did obtain a search warrant for the storage unit on January 7, and the warrant was executed on that date with the assistance of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, Lakewood-Busti Police, and the FBI. During the search, three unregistered handguns were located in the storage unit. The investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible pending additional follow-up. Additional charges from the fatal hit and run accident are pending the return results of blood toxicology from the NYSP Crime Lab in Albany. Additional information will be released once it is obtained and known by Law Enforcement. Rolison was committed back to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail by County Court Judge David Foley. A Bail Hearing will be held later this week in Chautauqua County Court to determine if bail will be granted to Rolison on the current charges. See more

On November 28th at 23:43 Lakewood Fire was dispatched to a working house fire with entrapment in the vicinity of Chautauqua Avenue and Vista Way within the Vil...lage. C-372 arrived on scene at 23:48, established command and activated a second alarm. E-371 arrived shortly after and gained access to the house with a hose line and began an initial attack. At 00:03 all occupants were accounted for and the entrapment was canceled. At 00:15 C-371 ordered an evacuation of all interior firefighting operations with evacuation tones activated due to heavy fire and a segment of the roof collapsing. Units remained on scene until 05:25 the following morning. Lakewood Fire would like to thank the Lakewood-Busti Police Department’s night shift, who assisted E-371 and their hose line deployment through the heavy snow. Their help was essential to our initial entry. Other agencies on scene included: Ashville, Busti, Celoron, Kiantone (Rehabilitation Trailer) and Bemus Point (Back-fill) Fire Departments. Chautauqua County EMS, Sheriff’s Office, Fire 2, Battalion 3, and the Fire Investigation Team also assisted. The cause of the fire was determined to be a compromised wire from an electrical sub panel. Lakewood-Busti Police Dept. WNY News Now The Post-Journal
