Thanks everyone so much for the support in the past couple of days! We are so so grateful and will keep everyone posted as we build out the space! We also have received a lot of questions regarding our refillery so I wanted to share some of the FAQs! If you have any additional suggestions or questions please feel free to reach out #zerowastestore #reuse #lowwaste #sustainable #ecofriendly #smallbusiness #womenownedbusiness
I'm so happy to announce that we're in the process of finalizing a retail space for La Nature. We've been planning non-stop, sometimes working for 12 hours per day to make this happen. I'm grateful that I have a community of like-minded individuals and businesses to ask questions and to learn from. Several small business owners in NYC and in the zero waste/sustainable community were so generous with their time to share their stories (Shoutout to Maranda of @ecobronx and her a...mazing group for zero-waste store owners, to Kayli of @earthandme.nyc who gave me so much great insights/advice, to Lucy of @coconut.and.cotton, to Sum of @sum_coffeeprojectny @coffeeprojectny and many more). I surveyed my local groups, making connections with people, and oh boy, I've never felt the word COMMUNITY stronger than before. From my conversations with people, one thing is clear: everyday essentials that are zero waste, plastic-free and eco-friendly should be more accessible to EVERYONE at an affordable price. And from the beginning, this is our sole mission. So, if you're in NYC or online, look out for us, the newest addition to the zero waste community. Follow along on our journey as we build out our storefront from scratch! Of course, we will offer a refillery in addition to all the amazing products that are made by independent makers in the US! Bamboo Reusable Makeup Remover Pads FAQs! Can I wash them? YES! You can handwash them or, if you're lazy like me, just put them inside a mesh laundry bag and wash them with light color. Leave to dry naturally. Can I use the pads to remove nail polish? Only use your pads to remove makeup, apply toner and other skincare products. DO NOT use them to remove nail polish How do I remove stains from my makeup pads? I've been there and it's normal if you stain your makeup remover pad...s (I'm looking at you mascara stains!) But to reduce the chance of staining, quickly rinse the excess makeup and rub a bit of hand soap into the stains immediately after removing makeup, then put the pads in their laundry bags and into the washing machine - no stain remover needed! Take care of your makeup remover pads so you will never have to buy disposables AGAIN! Save that $$ for something else ;) #zerowaste #ditchdisposables #reuse #ecofriendly #sustainable #lowwaste See more
