Today we celebrate the birthday of our beloved and famous blind hymn writer, Fanny Crosby. Born in Brewster on March 24,1820 and baptized at the Old Southeast Church. The Old Southeast Church, Walter Brewster House, and the Doansburg one-room Schoolhouse all withstood the high winds from Tropical Storm Isaias! Thankfully, only minimal branches and twigs to clean up.
