This patient has been coming to us on and off for over a year after sustaining a SF P1 fx with malunion. (She took a break from therapy due to covid) she continues to present with persistent IP joint flexion contractures, despite dynamic and static progressive splinting and serial casting. The patient’s primary goal is to be able to play the piano. We fabricated this dorsally based extension splint to maintain finger in maximum tolerated extension with finger pad exposure for maximal functional use.
