NYC peaceful gathering in remembrance of our King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Sunday, October 16, 2016, our restaurants, Lantern Thai Kitchen Brooklyn Heights, Lantern Thai Kitchen Gramercy Park, Somtum Der New York and Kiin Thai Eatery, will be closed 15 minutes earlier today in order to allow our Thai staff members to join a peaceful gathering at Union Square tonight at 11:30 PM in remembrance of our King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Our staff will also pay respect to the late King by wearing black uniform for at least 3 months

Today (Thursday 13th October 2016) marks Thailand the greatest sorrow as HM Bhumibol, the longest reigning monarch of Thai history and much beloved king has passed. His indiscriminating compassion and life-long endeavor for the well-bring of his subjects shall be forever remembered.
