Right now there is a shortage of product within the industry that is impacting everyone across the board with wing shortages of over 30% on many PO’s industry wide. Reasons for the industry shortage... 5 jumbo bird plants have reduced their bird weights to either retail or fast food segments which has taken millions of lbs. off the street. The industry as a whole is facing a shortage of chickens due to the lack of performance in the field thus fewer chickens being brought to plants daily. The food service industry is opening back up causing additional shortages after a prolonged period of no movement. Restaurants have changed their menus catering to take out business with high levels of focus centered on wings and tenders. Retail/grocery stores are experiencing a tremendous pick-up in poultry business due to price points being the cheapest protein available. We are anticipating this shortage to last, at least, an additional 60 days if not longer. Unfortunately the world we now live in is going to be the norm until grain prices drop and the industry is available to entertain more growth.

Game changing NYE shrimp recipe! Court-Bouillon Shrimp Serves: 8... Prep Time: 60 min Ingredients: 1 Gal Water 1 Cups Dry White Wine 1/2 Cup White Distilled Vinegar 2 White Onions Peeled 6 Celery Stalks, 3/4" Dice 1 Lemon Sliced 2 Bay Leaves 1 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning 2 Tbsp Salt 1 Bag 16/20 Raw PD Shrimp Add all ingredients except shrimp to stock pot and bring to the boil then simmer for 30 min. Next add shrimp and return to boil. Cook shrimp for 4 minutes or until internal temp of shrimp reaches a minimum of 130F. Chill in ice bath for 10 min to stop the cook and transfer to baking sheet to chill for 30min. Serve with Cocktail Sauce and a couple lemon wedges. You crushed it!
