Hey Squat University, we like where your head is at! We see and hear about this all too often! So many times, people are focus on one injury but we need to break the mold! We need to make sure we are looking at the big picture and whole body when treating our patients. This can not only treat the current injury but will also be more effective in preventing future recurrence of injury!

Thanks @evidencebasedmvmt for the thoughts! When giving patients exercise, it is important to find that sweet spot! We cannot UNDERLOAD our patients, or we stay in the same pain cycle. We also cannot OVERLOAD our patients, for the same reason as above. We need to find that happy place in the middle to make the good changes we need!

In November of 2018, Mary McMurtry suffered a severe hip injury while hunting with her husband. After two surgeries and three months of unsuccessful physical therapy treatment with another provider, Mary continued to experience pain and limited mobility. Since working with Danielle Sancilio and our team in Avon, Mary has returned to work as a nurse and can finally enjoy her favorite hobbies like golfing and hiking. Learn more about Mary's experience with #LattimorePhysica...lTherapy! www.lattimorept.com

Our body tissues don’t like surprises! Often times, especially now, when the weather changes we try to jump right back into tasks we did last year at the same pace...which often leads to trouble! This year especially, we need to be safe getting back into tasks! As a lot of our life was shut down a year ago, we can’t be too eager to get back to throwing a baseball, running that 8:00 mile, or going for that 5 mile hike without preparing our tissues! Make sure to be nice to yourself and do a little maintenance and prep work before diving right back in! HAPPY TUESDAY!

Brian Kinsman shows us a few stretches and warm-up exercises to get you swinging like Bryson DeChambeau. #DidYouKnow that several of our physical therapists are Titleist Performance Institute Certified to access and treat injuries that may cause negative impacts on your golf game? If you have any injuries preventing you from getting back out on the course, give our offices a call: 1(888)-PT-ROCHS - Enjoy the Masters this week!

EXERCISE COMES IN MANY FORMS! However as the weather starts to get nice, we want to make sure we are getting all of our muscles ready so we don’t cause new aches and pains! Start slow and steady and work up to the longer days outside!

How do you manage your stress?! We have to keep in mind the things we can control vs. those we cannot control. Our goal should be to manage what we can and allow our training and recovery to increase the capacity for our bucket to hold more! Thanks @evidencebasedmovement for the thoughts!

Thanks @evidencebasedmovement for this thought! Less can definitely be more! We understand the importance of a HEP but we don’t want our patients overwhelmed! The overwhelmed feeling has the opposite effect of our desired outcome which can lead to non compliance. What are your thoughts?!?!
