I can’t believe it’s already Valentines weekend! What are you beauties up to? Do you celebrate this holiday? . I cant lie I’m a hopeless romantic at heart which is why working with brides is totally my dream job, so Valentines pulls at that romantic in me and hopes for all those cute sappy romcom things to actually happen in real life. . Now I don’t expect anything butttt I’m a total sucker for flowers, chocolate and a card. Yes I love getting holiday cards or hand written n...otes/ letters *sighhh* I told ya hopeless romantic . Anywho whatever you decide to do or not so this weekend I hope you have fun and least enjoy a little self care! . Makeup by me See more
#tbt to my first ever photo shoot with one of my baby sisters as my model. . Getting to work with a pro photographer and seeing the final images had me so elated, I truly couldn’t believe that I did that. I can honestly say that was a turning point in my life, I fully believed in myself and that this makeup thing could truly be a career for me and I’m so happy I took that leap because getting to work with all of the amazing clients I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in the past many years has been incredible. I’m so incredibly grateful to all of you who have picked me, trusted me and allowed me to share in so many special moments it truly means the world and I can’t wait to meet more of you . Working as a makeup artist has definitely changed a lot in the last year! From what I wear and look like when I show up for you down to the way I pack my makeup kit, set it up and pack it up. . Here’s a little peek at my current kit and setup: my kit has been fully condensed to carry only the necessary things I’ll need for a client, all foundations and skincare are decanted into smaller bottles to save space. .... everything is in non porous labeled containers that can be easily wiped down between clients and the case remains closed until I need to grab something I need. . makeup brushes are individually packed for each client and labeled in case I need to use them for a touch up on the same client again. Each ouch contains q-tips, mascara wands, lipsticks applicators, disposable sponge, metal spatula, brushes and cotton rounds which I use to scrape eye shadows and powder blushes or highlighters. Once I’m finished with the tools they go into a sealed container labeled used tools and all disposables go in the garbage! . I use disposable palettes for each client where I can scrape all product I need like skincare, foundations, concealers, powders and lipsticks basically anything I need to paint your gorgeous face! . I carry 70% alcohol, sanitizing wipes and rejuvenate spray to ensure all surfaces can be properly cleaned before I setup, between clients and when I pack up. Once home everything is sanitized again, brushes are fully washed with soap and water and sprayed with 70% alcohol once dry. . Hygiene and sanitation is something I have always practiced so Implementing a few adjustments when COVID hit was simple and honestly it’s made my workflow so much more efficient! Your health and safety as well as mine is so important to me, this is just a small glimpse of what I’m doing to keep us safe! See more
