As of right now tons of appointments as early as tomorrow into Saturday. 30 and older now eligible.
The Town of Irondequoit today announced a joint effort with Lifespan of Greater Rochester Inc. to help book COVID-19 vaccine appointments for residents over the... age of 50, and to also provide transportation to a vaccination appointment, if needed. Effective immediately, anyone 50 years of age or older can call Lifespan at 585-244-8400, who, on behalf of the resident, will schedule a vaccine appointment at one of the many locations offering vaccines throughout the community. Additionally, Lifespan can provide free travel assistance both to and from the appointment location for Irondequoit residents through iRide the Town’s Senior transportation program.
We want to hear from you....we're all ears! Please take a quick minute to take our programming survey! This will help guide us as we plan programming for th...e new center! You can take the survey online here: https://bit.ly/irecsurvey or give us a call (336-6070) & we'll take your answers over the phone or mail you a copy! You can take the survey now until April 16th! We're excited to see what you have to say See more
Just a final reminder. 6,400 out of 28,000 COVID vaccination appointments were booked yesterday at the new site on St. Paul, meaning thousands and thousands remain. If you currently qualify for a vaccine (age, job, health condition, etc.), there will be no easier way to register due to the restricted number of Zip codes that can register (14609 is eligible). They'll be opening this up to the whole county next week, at which point they will quickly be taken. So if you're looking for an appointment, now is the time to register. https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/
EI residents living in the 14609 & 14621 zip code: New York State is opening a new COVID vaccine site on March 3rd specifically for residents living in zip codes with low vaccine rates. For more information, visit our website: http://ow.ly/O78l50DHSgq
FYI. For those eligible and seeking an appointment, 14609 will be one of the prioritized ZIP codes at the St. Paul site, meaning eligible residents can register a week earlier than the rest of the county, beginning the 24th at 8 am.

Looks like we might get a bit of snow. Be sure to keep an eye on the nearest fire hydrant and keep it accessible!
My favorite part of the day was hearing a 91 yr old woman who has lived in our neighborhood for 60 yrs, say how wonderful it was to watch the children play...my second favorite thing was watching this girl's eyes light up when our local policeman showed her all the bells & whistles on his car...and you couldn't resist a grin seeing this boy's happy face...there where many more smiles shared at the picnic today...so nice to come together & meet new faces in our community...thanks to all who made this day special. ~ Valerie

A way to support a local nearby and a great cause too.
Hello, Folks. Yes, the Coffee Connection at the Greenhouse Cafe is open and has been for 3 days, HOWEVER, the sales per day are the following: $17 $38.28 $32.50... We can't make it like this. You can order on takeout You can buy coffee and gifts on line. You can buy gift certificates--which make great gifts. You can donate. The biggest reason we want to make it, is because our women need jobs. They are in recovery from addiction, trauma and incarceration. It is often working at the Coffee Connection which keeps them in recovery. How do they survive if they cannot work? This is a hard time for everyone, but we really need your support. Is it safe at our 2 locations? Consider this: Monroe County invited us to participate in a pilot program for rapid testing. We test our employees 2 times a week and it takes 15 minutes to get the results. We have one woman who was sick, but is now healthy and has been cleared to work and go places. All of the other women have tested negative. So, we are safe IF you are safe, which means a mask ALL OF THE TIME, covering both nose and mouth--mouth is not enough--and if you practice SOCIAL DISTANCING, and using soap and water and/or hand sanitizer. The County update reports 571 new infections since yesterday. If you think the pandemic is a hoax and/or wearing a face mask is not important, PLEASE do not enter our locations. Please do not hug or touch women. We had to close down the first time because a customer hugged two of our woman--one, against her will, and then tested positive for COVID 19 and they had to quarantine for 14 days and we had to close. Please respect yourself and others. But, please, please, please, do not forget us. Thank you! T
Save up your milk jugs and participate on 12/24 starting at 6 pm!
