Just found out a client family, whom I've represented since 2011, paid a scammer in the Bronx to do tens of thousands of useless paperwork and fees - the guy had made over 530 court appearances on behalf of "clients" and despite being told to stop, and fined millions in 2010, kept on doing it - apparently he may have to serve a year in Jail - law school takes 3 years.

How things have changed - immigration forms now do not let you type the characters necessary to properly spell last names - never would’ve guessed it would affect Irish names ....

Just received confirmation that a Colombian client- former trapeze artist and motorcycle rider in the death ball stage show - will be sworn in as a US citizen next week!!

Today is a good day: on the heels of DACA's termination, one of my young female clients was granted permanent residency as a Special Immigrant Juvenile! It is a lengthy and cumbersome process - many ignored notices they were given by the government regarding the program until they became too old to take advantage of it.

On Good Friday, a client subject to expedited removal (with no right to see a judge) after having overstayed his Visa Waiver Program entry, was released from detention. ICE cancelled his removal order after our arguments regarding USCIS jurisdiction and DHS discretion, freeing him to return to his U.S. Citizen wife and 3-month old child.
