Just when you think outdoor baseball season is over it draws you back in... Some amazing weather days so far this November. We are loving how the outfield and infield grass is coming in after being reseeded in early September...

Looks like a great day for the last day of Fall Ball at Historic Dawson Field. Many thanks to all of the teams that have played games here this Summer and Fall. Special thanks to John Barberio and the Nickel City Nine Program for all your support of our field.

Thank you to everyone that supported the Lancaster Baseball Booster Club Chicken BBQ Dinner Fundraiser for Historic Dawson Field on Saturday afternoon. Great job by Christian and Joe from Party On Catering for the amazing dinners and great service all day long!! Special thanks to all of the great volunteers and booster club members that helped to ensure everything ran smoothly for our first event at the field.

We are looking forward to our first fundraiser tomorrow at Historic Dawson Field. Chicken BBQ drive-thru pickups will be just outside Gate 4 west of the field on Columbia Avenue.

94 Year Old Historic Dawson Field Re-Opened in August 2020

Inspired by all the great sunset pics posted the past week...

It's been a little over a year since the Lancaster Baseball Booster Club acquired 94 year old Historic Dawson Field. A lot of progress has been made and we are looking forward to Fall Ball and continuous improvements on the field and the property... Have a great holiday weekend!!

Many thanks to Eric Thomann and the crew at Thomann Asphalt Paving for donating their time and equipment to grade and compact the stone behind The Arch just inside Gate 2 at Historic Dawson Field. Thank you to LM Stone and Topsoil and County Line Stone Co. for all the timely stone shipments for various projects this summer. Very much appreciated!!

The Arch Backstop is completed... The LDC Edge out taking BP yesterday on a beautiful day... Many thanks to Joe Smith and the great work crews at Woodsmith Fence Corp. for coming through with short notice and installing our new cage back stop. Looks amazing!!... Very much appreciated!!

More backstop progress..."The Arch" is getting close...

We've had some significant progress with the installation of the cage backstop at Historic Dawson Field. The new contractor has been very productive doing great work while paying close attention to detail for this tough installation.

"This baseball year has been filled with ups and downs. One of the ups for our team was last night's practice at Historic Dawson Field. This beautiful diamond has been renovated to provide an excellent baseball experience and environment for those that play on 90 foot diamonds. Historic Dawson Field's infield and outfield is manicured like a state of the art facility allowing our team to practice with the true hops they would experience playing baseball. The one question we ...heard from our players was, "When will the field be done, so we can play on this field?" I like my players can't wait until the renovation is complete and we can sit in the wonderful dugout preparing to take the field for a game and our fans cheering us on in the stands!"
