"Equipped" with a highlighter and a magazine, challenge your learner to finding as many nouns in a given time as possible. Mix it up by setting a required amount to find. Purchase a NEW, clean, fly-swatter from the dollar store (many dollar stores sell three for $1) and allow your learner to choose and 'swat' the correct term written on paper for any subject, or location on a map, or value in mathematics when you read the child the definition, or landform or city, or mathematical expression......the possibilities are endless! It's a great way to make learning fun!
