Geillis - 'Mom, it's Christmas Eve right and we're open today right?' MaryAnn - 'Yes Gelly it's Christmas Eve and we're open 10 - 4.' Geillis - 'Will Dad be in today?'... MaryAnn - 'I'm not sure. Why do you ask if Dad will be in today?' Geillis - 'Because I'm smart and you said only guys shop on Christmas Eve so Dad will probably be in to shop right, because I don't think he has even started? I'll stay in the front and keep an eye out for Dad.' MaryAnn - 'Gell, keep an eye out for everyone and make sure you thank them and wish them a Merry Christmas.' Geillis - 'Oh, ok.'

Overheard during a Lennon’s morning Staff Meeting MaryAnn - ‘Ok only a couple more days until Christmas, we’re open today and tomorrow 10 4, let’s get ready for our Customers.’ Molly- ‘Mom, I think I see them coming, I’ll get them as soon as they come in the door. Because I'm beautiful and they like me best.’... Geillis - ‘I’m smart so I’ll take the sweater area because I’m bester.’ Dugan - ‘Gelly, there’s no such thing as bester. Mom, I love you, I’ll cover any area you want me to. Just let me know whatever you need.’ Geillis - ‘What a suck up Dugan is.’

MaryAnn - ‘Molly, you ready to go to the shop?’ Molly - ‘Mom, send Dugan, I need my beauty sleep,’ MaryAnn - ‘Ok, I’ll tell your public you were to lazy to work today. Buddy let’s go we’re open 10 - 4 today.’

Geillis - 'Hi this is Gelly........... Mom!... what was I suppose to tell them? MaryAnn - 'Geillis you were suppose to tell them that we are open today 10 - 3 today and will be open every day until Christmas from 10 - 4.' Geillis - 'That's right I'm smart. Also I wasn't suppose to tell you because I don't like it; I don't! The snow is gone! Where did it go! All the streets are clear and the snow has been removed from the Jay Street Marketplace and when we came in there w...as plenty of parking in the surrounding parking lots and the road crews were cleaning out all the snow on the surrounding streets. My Mom said we should thank the Schenectady Metroplex, City of Schenectady and the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation for the great job they did so you can come and shop; but I don't like them because they took all the snow and I don't have anything to play in.' MaryAnn - 'Geillis, you're not suppose to be playing while you're working!'
