Back in May, we promised to keep working toward a more diverse industry and community. Today we’re proud to announce a new 501c3 non-profit, that lives outside of Leon & Son, working to foster the careers of aspiring Black talent in the wine industry. Fulton St. Fellowship financially and professionally supports, fosters and promotes aspiring Black talent in the wine by funding top tier wine education, connecting fellows with an established professional network and providing ...access to industry events and programming. @fultonstfellowship is raising funds through Summer 2020 and opening applications for fellows this Fall. Through generous industry donations prior to todays announcement, FSF has already raised $40k for tuition with a goal of getting that number to $100k by the time applications open for our next generation of leaders in wine. 2020 RADIKON RELEASE: A handful of wineries have transitioned from loved amongst wine geeks to revered within the industry to into full on reference points in their category. Over the last decade we've seen #radikon make this exact transitioncrafting skin fermented, orange wine in Italy's Friuli no less. Starting today we're offering a host of bottlings and vintages. These are all Slovenian style Friuli wines, meaning hand-harvesting, extended skin maceration, large, older... barrel fermentations without temperature control, no added yeasts or enzymes, and little or no use of sulfur. The one distinguishing change over time has been the line of S wines introduced by @sasaradikon , the new generation winemaker who took over after his father passed. Both the reds and the white (the only 750mls) are macerated with significantly less time on the skins for an earlier drinking style. It's an incredible set of wines. LINK ON HOMEPAGE.
