Let's Have Thai

Hello everyone just want to let all of our patrons know that we will be opening at 4pm today for dinner service only, thank you so much and sorry for the inconvenience!

It's been such a terrible year with this virus crippling a great few of us, daily life becoming bewildering, our country amok with distress, all the storms, natural disasters and the hardships of businesses such as mine, trying to survive in what was already a tough industry. I remember when I first opened up Let's Have Thai in Mahopac, I was quite intimidated by the quiet wilderness and its surroundings as I have always grew up in the loud, ever changing, bustling city. In ...addition to that I was very worried we would not be in business for long, as I did not see much Asian cuisine in the area and thought that perhaps the people in this town aren't so keen to or fond of Thai cuisine. The very first night I opened my doors, this lovely lady walked in, who would go on to be a great friend and a guiding light who took part in the success of our small business. She was directly across the street from us at her business, Ramiro's 954. The day the Chamber of Commerce cut our ribbon for opening, Jan walked over with handfuls of food to give to me while welcoming my family to the neighborhood with open arms and a genuine smile from cheek to cheek. When things got tough with me learning the ropes dealing with my families indifferences and business becoming tough, I broke down from stress and this woman held me tight and listened to all my struggles and venting. She told me it was going to be ok, and would not leave my side until I was able to return back to with work with a clear mind and steadfast determination. She then spread the word (more than she already has from the beginning) of my business to all her friends, loved ones and even HER CUSTOMERS. With that confidence that she helped me achieve, not only did my business grow exponentially, but it was mutual for her as well and we went on to spread the love from our families to yours. About 70% of my customers that include our regulars and new faces, are all because of Jan and her kind words about my family and I. She lifted me up in my time of need and for anyone who was around her, you could tell that she was radiating with kindness and did the same for others in her life. I am truly saddened and drenched in thoughts about how life can be so fragile. My deepest love and condolences go out to her family and Chef. Show some love and share your thoughts of how she was a part of your journey at the service. Rest In Peace Jan Jimenez thanks for always cheering me up, giving me hope and helping my family with everything. I didn't have to come on Facebook to know that the town would mourn and miss you so greatly. Lost a great friend, mother and person today
